Like Robbie said. Definitely something like this but with maybe wider slats and maybe space under the bottom rail for water issues… flooding

I’d change the dark glass balustrade on the front of the house …
I’d amp up the landscaping with palms and a tropical vibe …
The fence could be sand coloured stone panels/feature parts and white panels …

I would add succulents to the bed directly in front of the house where the four reddish plants are. Maybe take them out and replace with hardy salt tolerant plants such as coastal rosemary. Go for silvers and greens rather than reddish foliage.

Obviously as you said not traditional Hamptons but gorgeous as it is. I wouldn’t change a thing.

It’s beautiful as is. You can decorate the interior in Hamptons. The outside is perfect.

Leave it. It’s not the least bit Hamptons and giving it a mishmash of different features won’t make it look better. It looks great as it is. Embrace the modern coastal vibes which suits its location. Personally I’d just update the garden.

The horizontal slats at top of deck and the grey section over left top window I would have painted a crisp white. Also, the fan on the deck could be changed to the coastal large leaf style fans with white deck furniture. They are probably the easiest changes to do first.

Just accept you bought a very modern house. I'm thinking the kitchen etc is very shiny, sleek and modern? Trying to pin anything traditional onto it will only look ridiculous. It's the equivalent of buying a heritage traditional house and trying to make it look like this house.

Congratulations on your new home. You could make it coastal Hampton by putting white timber vertical slats over the front facade and change the glass verandah to timber slats.

This house is sleek and modern. Just embrace that style. Don’t try to make it something it isn’t.

A hodgepodge of styles will look ridiculous.

.. (obviously won’t be traditional). We have inside sorted but struggling with the outside.

We also want to put a a 1.2m fence out the front and again have 0 ideas on what to go with.

The water is directly across from the house so we don’t want to hinder the view in anyway.
