Need a budget laptop for my son for Xmas
I just bought my partner a gaming computer (not laptop) from ebay including the monitor keyboard mouse headphones and the tower £252 I know it's abit over your price range but its so worth it and he can play his games on it aswell as school work hopw this helps.
I bought a Microsoft pro off eBay. I know this can be difficult to get a decent one and it took me a while but it was ace. Or try marketplace on fb. If you get one that has the box it can be just as good.
I've brought my grand daughter a pink laptop of marketplace, was only 8 months old and paid £80, maybe look there
Does it need to be laptop and brand new? If no for the later it would be worth checking eBay or cex, but in general as a rule of thumb 8gb ram would be required (windows 10 says 4gb but that's for the OS and nothing extra).
Currys have got a £300 Lenovo ideapad down to £200 was told it was suitable for school etc. I would pop down and check for that particular game though. I couldn't find it cheaper online.
Was cheaper if you were happier with an 11inch screen instead of 15.6 inch.

Best thing to do is go to a store like curry’s and talk to them about it. Tell them what you need it for and a rough budget. Then tell them you will need to talk to your husband and ask them when they are next working. Note down the model and have a look online for similar models and see what the price is like.
