My son is 7. I would have thought that logic would prevail at this age but apparently not

We provide health education and information to mums, dads and everyone involved in caring for children. Our goal is to improve child survival by promoting child health intelligence.

He ate half a chicken finger tonight (something he is usually okay with eating) but then horror of horrors, the coating came off exposing some of the chicken.

Even though he knew it tasted fine before, he struggled with tears and almost gagging to eat the rest of it.

This picky eating business is something totally irrational in the brain.

I feel your pain! My son is also 7 and is the exact same way!

When my eldest was a toddler and incapable of cutting her own food I’d do it for her. She’d refuse to eat anything that didn’t have the perfectly clean cut.
