My dog has been almost having like night terrors

Hi! I wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced this before. My dog has been almost having like night terrors? He’ll be asleep and jolts awake and is squealing like he’s in pain or scared. At 1am he was in deep sleep, and he woke up kind of screaming like a child. He has done it about 5 times since last night.

I took him to the vet, and they don’t know what it is, they thought he could be in pain in his joints and gave him anti-inflammatory. He’s home now with me and just did it again.

He’s not acting himself either the last 2-3 days. It’s really strange and I’m super worried.

My dog has dementia. She use to do that until she started her meds.

Please video it and send to me. My dog has been doing something similar. She’s in a deep sleep but whimpering and paddling in her bed. I go to her and hold her close to me and wake her gently to reassure her. I call out her name. Does it look like a seizure? Any new vaccines or meds lately? Change of food?
