I am trying to decide light or dark hybrid flooring for common areas and staircase?

Hi Everyone, I am doing a Hampton’s renovation on my home and I am trying to decide light or dark hybrid flooring for common areas and staircase?

Looking at a slate colour for carpet in bedrooms. All suggestions would be appreciated!

Definitely go for light hybrid flooring … I had darker flooring & immediately regretted it … I love a fresh, bright feel in my home & the darker flooring seemed to suck out all the light. After two years I decided to bite the bullet & make the (costly $$$!) decision to replace it with lighter flooring! I’m so happy that I did & an added bonus is that the lighter flooring is much easier to keep clean

Keep in mind dark carpet shows up every bit of dust or threads.

I went for pale grey tiling and same in bedrooms although I’m going to replace the carpet with a pale grey with a hint of blue floorboards. I have a bulimic cat, otherwise I’d keep it.

slate carpet I would go with a light timber with a mix of grey tones.

Dark floors show everything and you'll likely hate it.
