Good morning, I’m new to my 10x12 greenhouse and I’m looking to purchase a heater to hopefully keep the temps above freezing for my greens this winter.

I currently have the beds also covered with row covers, that’s helped them some.

I’m in northeast ohio!

Thanks for any advice!

Howdy! It wasn't very expensive for us... and this was with some flaws in keeping cold air out!! But we used a small space heater for our 6×8 greenhouse. It kept it above freezing overnight in MO during some of our colder evenings.

I think it really depends on how cold your area gets. We put a space heater in ours, and it will raise it 5-10 degrees at night. So, in our zone (4b), we just use it in fall and spring.

Last spring, I did tunnels and heated the tunnels not the whole area.
