When starting a new blog would it be better to create a new clean domain name or look for an existing expired one?
It depends on what you need to target and what you want to reach. And many more aspects. So can be 3 right options for you. 1 to buy clean domain. 2. To buy expired. 3 to buy premium.
The only reason you would buy an expired domain is if it has a QUALITY backlink profile and the profile is RELAVANT to your new website. To buy a domain like that you need to be able to know if it has quality backlinks. If you don't know how to do that besides just looking at backlink audit scores you shouldn't bother with it. If you jew website has nothing to do with the website that was at the old domain just get a jew domain name.
Starting with a new domain is better. Expired domain can be penalized, involved in spam practices, etc.
