We still need one car seat, and we have one tall teenager. Most of the time, we only need 4 in the car but for those long family car journeys, I am just wondering if those cars with the middle arm rest are comfy enough for long journeys or not.
Thinking cars like Hyundai Tucson, Skoda Kodiaq?
Which car do you recommend for a family of 5?
Ford s max 7 seats, all back seats fold, room for extra if needed plus shopping.. Good luck.
VW touran. I had one for 10 years and loved it. I then got a 7-seater Land Rover Discovery, lasted a year because it’s so expensive to run, I’ve now gone back to a VW touran and absolutely love it. 3 long legged teenagers. It’s so economical and spacious.
We have a seat Ateca. We debated going 7 seats but decided wasn't worth it. My friend has a tuscon and I like that one too.
If doing many long journeys or with a car seat 5 is never really comfortable in a 5-seater, personally I would go for a small 7-seater, there are 6 seaters too, you just need a little more space.
Seat Alhambra. My kids are 6,9 and almost 14 (5ft 7) and we love the space. we can use the boot seats to split kids up when we’re altogether but plenty room either way.
