We are updating our lounge room and would like to do vertical

... (to accentuate the height of the ceiling) VJ panelling over the top of some outdated orange brick.

As well as a column of stone cladding for gas fireplace and TV above. I’ve been googling for further Inspo but cannot seem to find out look.

Just wondering if anyone has done anything similar to this. Would even love to see different styles of the VJ panel with stone looks.

Also Google “shiplap stone fireplace” to get American images. Shiplap is similar to VJ, except that it always runs horizontal, like wood on a ship. Just ignore the directionality (vertical will great!)... I also like the idea of shelving on either side if you have a long wall.

Try searching "vertical shiplap" coz I'm pretty sure that's what the Americans call it
