Prefab/modular homes? What are the thoughts on these homes has anyone had them and are they happy with their quality?

Cost-wise are they cheaper?

You have to be VERY careful about inclusions and exclusions. Often they end up costing the same if not more as a new build because there are many things (like the slab or footings for a start) that aren’t included.

I’ve been curious about this as well. I was thinking of subdividing and putting a modest house on the rear of my block.

My mortgage broker said banks don't like them, so it's potentially difficult to secure a loan.
