Has anyone done Colombia for New Years?

.. I’ve heard Cartagena is suppose to be good. Just wondering if anyone has been and has any recommendations for there or elsewhere?

You could look at what’s going on further up the coast - costeño beach or Rio could be a lot of fun or Medellin nightlife is amazing so I’d assume their New Years would be a load of fun!

Cartagena is the biggest tourist trap ever and not at all a good example for the real Colombia.

Cartagena is normally fully booked out as masses of colombian & international tourists are spending holidays there in this period.
