What is best practice with external link for social media in footer? Should you have it or only on one page?

And as a web agency, should you put a reference in the footer with a link?

Doesn't matter if they're follow or nofollow. Google can figure out they're links to your social profiles, either way.

No issue with social links in the sitewide footer.

If these are your own pages then you can select do follow (no follow can also be selected), Otherwise no follow.
