Hi all.. I'm travelling to Thailand in February to start however many months of travel. Whilst I'm there, I want to try out a scuba diving course, and have read that Koh Tao is the place to do it.
I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations for good diving schools for complete beginners (I can swim but never had any diving experience), and whether an SSI or PADI qualification would be better?
Thanks!

All schools are good, go with the instructors you vibe with.
I did all my training at Roctopus Dive and Simple Life Divers.
Both were great.

Padi or ssi doesn't matter, Padi is most well known but also quite commercialised. Would care more about teacher/school recommendations
Oceans sound. Fully recommend them.
They're PADI divers.
Doesn't really matter if you get SSI or PADI training, you'll love diving
