Is Nha Trang in Vietnam worth a visit or is it just all high rise hotels?

I didn't like Nha Trang at all. I was there in June and it was dead. The entire area was to serve Russian tourists, which are obviously not there for obvious reasons, so the only thing there is a beach but I could name hundred better ones. So if a decision needs to be made between Nha Trang and any other city, always go for the other one

I love Nha Trang! Have lived there for 16 years wouldn’t live anywhere else! Best weather in Vietnam. Beaches, mountains, rivers, waterfalls, great food. Simply walk 3 or 4 blocks from the beach and it is not touristy. Also probably the cheapest place for tourists to visit. I went to Hoi An recently and found it overwhelmed with tourists, floods all the time and was much more expensive than Nha Trang.

Nha Trangs ok, bit to much foreign influence, just ignore them.

100s of guesthouses and hotels from $20.

Take a boat or the chairlift to the marine/theme park.... good views.

Hire an easy rider or do it yourself to Da Lat and surrounds.... coffee plantations, minorities, flower farms, waterfalls. Cam Ranh, Phan Thiet, Mui Ne all nearby.
