Hello! Long time lurker.. hoping for advice on hiring bikes. My partner and I are travelling to SEA in January. I'm undecided on completing my CBT license before we travel. I wouldn't want to hire bikes without the CBT (for insurance purposes) and am nervous about the risks of travelling by bike.
We plan to travel slow and stay put in places for a few weeks at a time.
Will we miss out on seeing things by not having bikes? Or are there reliant and safer ways to travel on day trips that won't give us FOMO! And insights appreciated
Need advice for hiring bikes
Asia is NOT the place to learn to ride, get experience in your own country first. Yes, riding a bike in Asia is a great way to sight see I've done it for years.
A motorcycle is the best, most versatile, and most fun way to travel in any country and that is most especially true in in se Asia. It will take you everywhere and stop where ever you want it to.
People will tell you , absolutely it's not a problem since they don't know what they missed out and freedom
