Has anyone come across similar furniture to pottery barn but with out the price tag?

Good thinking. I saved and saved to buy a coffee table from PB that cost $1,500. It was my first PB purchase and I was really excited. It was the worst purchase I have ever made and the service from the Brisbane store was condescending and appalling. They charged over $180 for delivery (only 5 kms) and it wasn’t even assembled. As it was too heavy for me to lift the top to connect it together, the store then told me I had to pay extra for assembly! The marble top wasn’t sealed and it stains from even the smallest drop of water. It’s a dud. Never again.
