I'm trying to think of what I can insulate my solid wall parts with. I'm considering a thought of Styrofoam egg cartons. What would be pros and cons of this? I work at a grocery store and have many customers that would be happy to get rid of the foam cartons. I am older and it would be manageable for me.

I'd appreciate any thoughts or feedback.

Unless you seal them so air can't pass between each one, the egg cartons don't have any real insulation value. There are foam boards or roll insulation that will be much less time consuming and better insulation.

I would be interested to look into rock wool. It is made of rock and metal. So, you wouldn't have to worry about it molding. It has a r value of 3. I have not used it, seen it, or priced it.

It was what I found online when I looked.

Cardboard. We use liquor store boxes.
