I was going to book a flight home at the end of March but just wondering if it's worth staying for the water fight! It sounds like the heat might be over powering in April though. Any advice welcome.
Also I am looking to do a yoga retreat and wondered if anyone could recommend a good one. I've looked at one on koh Yao Noi, has anyone been to this island? If so would you recommend.
Thanks in advance.
Has anyone been in Thailand for the songkran festival?
I’ve not been but extended my planned stay to make sure I’m in Thailand for it this year. I think Bangkok or Chiang Mai are the most popular places to celebrate but not decided which one I’ll go to yet
Songkhran is great anywhere, don't worry about the heat as you'll be wet most of the time and there are plenty of drink stops. Invest in goggles and a waterproof bag for phone, money, papers, etc.
went both Bangkok and Chiang Mai, was really fun! well prepare for protecting ur mobile devices getting "sunk"!
Don't miss it especially in the north.......a unique Thai experience, they often use iced water.
