What impact a website will face, when the domain name change from .net to .com?
The older domain is .net on which the SEO work is going on from last 8 years.

Implementing redirects. Irrespective of whether the content is the same, creates some short term volatility. From my experience, it typically catches up to full speed within 6 months.

The TLD is a nonfactor in this case. As long as you do the redirects correctly there shouldn't be an issues.

Because you have the power of redirect it shouldn't be an issue but why in the world would you want to change from a .com to a .net? is my question..
