How can I take care of baby navel after the cord has fallen?

If the cord has dropped and the area is still raw like wound, keep cleaning with methylated spirit until it has healed completely like normal skin. Just wash normally during the baby bath, dry and clean with methylated spirit. Always keep dry and exposed to the air. Don't cover with anything or nappy. Once it is fully like normal skin, there is no need to do anything. Don't APPLY any heat - dry or wet.
