Most cough and cattarh in infants does not require medication as it will go on its own. It is mostly caused by viruses.
The Most important thing is to Keep baby warm. Prevent cough and catarrh as well by keeping babies away from those with colds and avoiding baby's contact smokes and fumes. If there's associated high fever or fast or difficulties with breathing then take the child to the hospital for proper evaluation and management.
The weight is okay, keep breastfeeding exclusively.
