How do you get your head back in the game? Over the years I get a burst of inspiration, a flash of light, and I smash out 10k words. And then I just stop. Then I'll half heartedly write another 1k and then 6 months have gone by so I have to reread to get back into the swing.

But can never seem to grip that energy and momentum again. And then I get another idea, write 10k words and start the whole process again!

It's exhausting writing 🤣🙈 amazing but a slog sometimes. Should I even feel like that? Massive imposter syndrome too.

Writing can be a creative process that requires a lot of mental effort, focus, and dedication, and it's normal to feel drained or tired after prolonged periods of writing.

However, it's also important to make sure that you're taking care of yourself and not pushing yourself too hard. If you're feeling constantly exhausted or burned out from writing, it may be helpful to take breaks, practice self-care, and find ways to make the writing process more enjoyable and less overwhelming.

Here are a few tips that might help:
Take breaks: Try to take frequent breaks during writing sessions. Taking a short walk, doing some stretching exercises, or even just stepping away from your desk for a few minutes can help you recharge and refocus.

Practice self-care: Make sure you're taking care of your physical and mental health. Eat a healthy diet, get enough sleep, and take time to do activities that you enjoy.

Set realistic goals: Setting achievable goals can help you stay motivated and avoid burnout. Don't try to write too much in one sitting or set unrealistic deadlines for yourself.

Find ways to make writing more enjoyable: Experiment with different writing techniques or tools to make the writing process more enjoyable. For example, you might try writing in a different location, using a different writing software, or listening to music while you write.

Remember, writing is a process, and it's okay to take your time and work at your own pace. Don't be too hard on yourself, and try to enjoy the journey!
