My baby boy of 3 months always have hiccup

Good afternoon Doctors in the house.

Please my baby boy of 3 months always have hiccup. He may have hiccup upto 6 times in a day. Please what could be the cause?

Is it normal?

I am worried.
  • BW: 2.9kh.
  • CW: 6.7kh.

It is a normal phenomenon and a mild issue that will resolve on it's own with time.

Hiccups in newborns is due to the stretching of the diaphragm because as their stomach stretch, it touches on the diaphragm. You don't need to do anything.
