My baby is having cough

Good morning doctors. My baby is having cough. Doe not too serious for over a month now .The last time I took him to the hospital doctor prescribe amoxiclav and neolin syrup.

I bought it and he took it bt UpTo now it has not cleared and I haven't take him back thinking it will go by itself since it z just mailed something and am scared they might write another antibiotics cos from birth to his 2 month he took 3 diff antibiotics not same day, amoxicillin, Erythromycin and amoxiclav.

Please advice me..

Any cough that lasts beyond 2 weeks is chronic.

There are many causes of persistent or prolonged coughs for example bronchial asthma or tuberculosis e.t.c.

It is very important that the CAUSE is identified FIRST.

So, see a doctor preferably a Paediatrician at any teaching hospital for a thorough evaluation and treatment.
