Should you keep hardware /handles all the same colour in all bedrooms/areas of the house?

Say black handles in two rooms and brass in the third? Or, say black handles in bedrooms and brass handles in the kitchen? We have a split level house so the areas are separate enough.

I think It’s fine as long as it’s in different areas. I have gold brass in bathrooms, wardrobes and front door hardware. And aged brown brass in the kitchen and internal door handles. They are all the same style (just different finishes)..It flows seemlessly

We did black taps/bath/basin/toilet, door handles, hinges & ceiling fans in kids bedrooms & all brass taps, hinges & handles in our bedroom & en-suite & I love it.
