For aqua enamel I don’t use any sealer.
If you use a paint that needs a sealer I use British paints waterbased varnish, it’s a one coat system.

I didn't use a sealer. It wasn't on a heavily used piece of furniture so I can't comment on how well it withstands scratches but it stayed a beautiful vibrant white for all the years I had it.

I have found whether something scratches easily or not actually comes down to the prep more so then top coat. If you used a good primer you should have good adhesion and minimal scratching. If you want to top coat you could use a poly acrylic, it won’t alter finish much at all and won’t yellow over time.
