I'm flying to Thailand tonight with Thai Airways and am only travelling with carry on. This is my first time travelling with no checked luggage.

The bag on my left is the bag with my toiletries and clothes.

North Face bag has my laptop and electricals which is essential as I work online.

The black bag weighs 5kg and the North face 2.3kg.

My concern is that I'm not sure if I'll get away with the North Face bag being classified as my 'personal item' so I can take them both on the plane.

If the worst comes to the worst, I'll check one of them in and then downsize my North face bag to a smaller bag.

Please any advice would be appreciated.

A 40l travel bag and a bag that's a laptop bag so like a 25l will work. One bag goes in the overhead and the other has to fit under the seat in front of you. You will be good.

I took a cabin suitcase and a rucksack of the same size for my “personal items” wirh Thai airways, noone ever checked my weight or size, and tbh I got on the flight and there were people on the flight with bags 3x the size of me somehow, I was paranoid for no reason hahaha; you’ll be fine.
