Hey everyone. Quick question about a new website. How long should you give it before starting to make more changes to rank better?

What I mean is; I've launched a new website and the pages have been crawled and indexed and I've noticed each day the ranking of most keywords is improving, there are a couple that are moving slower than others, how long should I leave it to let google do its thing before starting to try and improve these pages etc?

There is no set time frame for when you should start making changes to your website to improve its ranking. However, it is generally a good idea to give your website some time to settle and establish itself before making significant changes.

Typically, it takes a few months for a new website to begin seeing significant improvements in its rankings, as search engines need time to evaluate and understand the content and structure of the site. During this time, you should monitor your website's performance and track your keyword rankings, as well as any changes in your website's traffic and bounce rate.

Once you have a good understanding of your website's performance, you can then start making targeted changes to improve its ranking. This might include optimizing your website's content, improving the user experience, and building high-quality backlinks. However, it's important to approach any changes you make with caution and to avoid making sweeping changes all at once, as this can confuse search engines and negatively impact your rankings.

Typically, it takes a few months for a new website to start ranking well in search engines, although it can vary depending on several factors, such as the level of competition, the quality of your content, and the strength of your backlink profile. Here are a few guidelines to follow:

Wait at least 3-6 months: It takes time for search engines to fully understand and rank your website. Give it a few months to see if your rankings will improve on their own before making changes.

Monitor your rankings regularly: Use tools like Google Search Console and Google Analytics to track your website's performance and monitor your rankings. This will give you a good idea of where your website stands and what needs to be improved.

Make data-driven decisions: Don't make changes based on speculation or intuition. Use data and analytics to determine what needs to be improved and what changes will have the biggest impact.

Focus on quality content: Content is king and it's the foundation of a strong SEO strategy. Focus on creating high-quality, relevant, and engaging content that will attract both users and search engines.

Build a strong backlink profile: High-quality backlinks from reputable websites can greatly improve your website's rankings. Focus on building a diverse and natural backlink profile to help your website rank higher in search results.

In conclusion, be patient and persistent. It takes time to see results from SEO efforts, but by following these guidelines, you can improve your rankings and drive more traffic to your website over time.

new website - 6 months without aggressive link-building, 4 months with link-building. Changes in positions means nothing during this period. Just improve your site, create useful pages. After half of a year, you can start monitoring, changes will take place from 2 to 4 months, depending on the significance of these changes for the site. For example, if you prohibit indexing of the entire site, changes will appear very quickly. Or if you change the headers (in your opinion, you will improve them), add more useful content to a certain page, you will see the changes after 2-4 months.

Bro, do keyword research make a topical authority means if you are targeting main/money keyword like "best wireless headphones" then you have to create content around that topic. To do that Go over to tools like answer the public or Also Asked just type "wireless headphone" and hit enter. You will see tons of queries which you should create content on and link to your money pages. More over in link building make sure your website is appearing on its brand name (if you have a branded domain not keyword related or exact match" Do some 2 to 3 guest post in 1st month building backlinks to your homepage with your domain name. This will help you gain trust in Google's eye. Then in next month you can take it up slowly like 4-5 links per month in your homepage and inner pages as well like blog post.
