.. but I've only ever written epic fantasy with romance as the subplot. I've also mostly read fantasy, romantasy, and historical romances, but the story in my mind is a modern romance.

So what romance books do you recommend I read before I begin?

Also, any tips on writing a good romance?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I'm watching, You, on Netflix. Very dark modern romance.

Spicy or clean romance? I spent the last year reading over 180 romance books. All mostly spicy. I recommend Pippa Grant, Meghan Quinn, Claire Kingsley, Kathryn Nolan, and Lucy Score.

Well I personally feel you should should indirectly involve your personal romantic life in the book. That way every emotion will be relatable. A humble suggestion though
