... which I had totally forgotten I had! that's £100 just sitting there. Worth checking your emails, purses, home etc! Now to spend them before they expire.

Better check that the cards haven't had the value reduced if you haven't used them for a long time. Some cards automatically take off 90p/month or so after 18 months until you use up the balance.

There is a nice app called Stocards on which you can store your giftcards and your store loyalty cards. Then if you don't have your purse but do have your phone with you then you can still use your giftcards - you can also add notes eg expiry dates.

Only useful if there's something you actually need … otherwise you'll waste a £100 in using them

Check the dates on them - they don't last forever.
