How does selling on eBay work?

I’ve sold for collection. Buyer has paid and it’s on hold. How will eBay know when they’ve collected it?

I've never sold or bought anything on E bay, and E bay virgin, I guess. Is it hard to sell stuff there? My son has 4 big boxes of unopened new Star Wars figures/trading cards from, I would guess the 70-80s that I need to clear out of the garage. I would guess there are at least 200 of them! He came about them when some guy was moving and hired his friend and him to take all the stuff to the dump.

Do not accept eBay payment on eBay. It's a well-known scam, they pay through eBay, collect item then say they have not collected, and eBay refund them. Cash on collection only
