.. I’ve seen ones that have a removable pad insert for machine washing but I want to be able to machine wash the entire carrier.
My cat gets scared and makes messes in his carrier every single time.

Try taking him out of the carrier first. He will make less of a mess that way.

We use a plastic one and put pee pads in the bottom. Easy peasy.

Good old plastic with an easily removable top. Your vet will thank you for it too. Fabric carriers are a nightmare for cats who won’t go in/out

I switched to a plastic one because of that. Just wash it out with garden hose and let dry.
