What is a normal temperature for a 4 year old, 17.5lbs, male Havanese?

When I googled what is too low of a temperature for a dog? It said if a dogs temperature drops below 102.5, it can be a cause for concern, but anything below 99.5 is a serious cause for concern. I always thought anything between 101 and 102.5 is considered relatively normal. No?

99.5 to 102.5 is considered normal. I'll even accept up to 103 if they are stressed and anxious. This only applies to rectal temperatures as other methods are not accurate and must be adjusted accordingly.
