Would it be of any value to get a writing coach/mentor? How would you find a good one?

If you follow literary agents on Twitter you’ll start to hear of various schemes you can apply for that partner you with mentors from publishing companies or literary agents. It’s not guaranteed you’ll be accepted, but if you don’t apply you’ll never know! I am working with one at the moment and she has completely changed the way I look at my story, and made it so much more enjoyable to plan, write, and hopefully…read!

It’s also been a huge motivator to write as much as possible before our sessions.

If the person really knows how to write he won't be wasting time teaching someone how to write. But go on.
