Looking for all info NYC! I’ll be going mid August for a work conference with 4 fun days to spare. What’s the best way to visit key attractions such as Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, and 9/11 Memorial & Museum - book separately or use something like the CityPass?

Please comment your must do’s and see’s along with any helpful tips for a first time New York visitor!

I’m pretty savvy but am a newbie to New York public transit.

I’d also love some hidden gem food recommendations.

Thank you in advance!

If you can make it to governors island (not sure what days you are free), it’s a lot of fun. Also, august is a great time in nyc. So much to do. So many street fairs and festivals. Go outside of the “touristy” areas and have fun. Also so many food options. You can DM and we can discuss what your looking for and where to go.

I got a sunset harbor boat cruise on Groupon which was great to see many buildings and statue of liberty.

We decided which attractions we wanted to see and the did a spreadsheet to compare the prices individually vs. The CityPass. For us, the CityPass ended up being the cheaper option.

Suggest you consider the hop on hop off bus day 1 to get the lay of the land.

If you’re into art, The Metropolitan Museum should not be missed.

I recommend "New York City Uncovered" by Andrew J. Noell on Amazon.

It's a very helpful book on Amazon. It will help you plan your trip to New York and everything you may need to know.
