Travel to Krabi from Penang

Hey all! Currently in Malaysia and will be ending up in Pengang. From there I intend to complete the basic touristy itinerary listed on the south east asia backpacker website.

So with that in mind I plan to try and head to Krabi next, and can’t fine much information on how to travel to Krabi from Penang, or if it would make sense to fly to bangkok and just complete the itinerary from North to South.

Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.

I took a minibus to Hat Yai where you can get a connection.
