My family and I want to travel for 3 weeks next Summer. We live is San Francisco so no CA or Mexico. Probably not Europe either but open to suggestions.
Looking for a relaxing vacation that also has stuff to do. Any fun suggestions? Could be more than one place. Also will be traveling with a 13 year old.

Depends on what you enjoy of course. If you want to stay in the US you could do the east coast. Acadia NP in Maine, Portland, Nantucket, Washington DC., mount Vernon…etc. A good mix of outdoor sights and city sights. History and hiking.

When my son turned 13, we took a safari tour in Kenya. Ended our trip at Zanzibar to relax.
