Nothing too fancy or expensive - mid range. Easy to book as some of the really popular venues are so hard / impossible to book or want big deposits.

Staying in Vauxhall area but happy to use the tube.

Go to Flatiron 🥩 it’s simple but brilliant! Won’t break the bank and they don’t take bookings so you’ve as much chance as anyone to get a table

Why don’t you try Market Halls Victoria for some street food. Loads of food choices in there and a bar. I love Gopal’s Corner for the yummy Malaysian rotis and curry.

Sorry not Vauxhall but look at Bancone, couple of venues one near Covent Garden and one (bigger) branch on Golden Square in Soho - really reasonable and delicious fresh pasta dishes

Recently enjoyed meal at Kin + Deum near to London Bridge. If you would happily travel further then Exmouth Street market has lots of lovely restos and bars- I like Moro.

Brasserie zedel feels really glam (it’s a listed interior, sometimes a little jazz band) but it’s very reasonable- if you eat the fixed menu it’s £15 for two or three courses. Alternatively hoppers in King’s Cross is good for curry, or basaba ethai for Thai - all standard london prices nothing too fancy.
