Is it advisable for AS to marry AC?

Good day doctors.. Is it advisable for AS to marry AC?.. Per adventure they have a kid that is SC,does that mean the child will have gene of SS?

Hello.
Unfortunately, it is not advisable as there is a similar 25% possibility at each pregnancy(as with if they are both AS) of having a child who will have an SC genotype.
While this is not exactly the same as SS genotype, the SC genotype child will likely suffer the same or mildly less severe symptoms as one with SS genotype.
It is advisable for the couple to go for counselling with a sickle cell foundation before making a decision.
