What should I put in my new kitchen?
Would love to hear about must have Kitchen ideas for things you added into kitchen or butlers that you love and couldn’t be without - eg spice racks or pull our shelving or special cupboard additions etc.

Zip - boiling chilled and sparkling. The best part of our kitchen!
Re: What should I put in my new kitchen?
I designed our kitchen to be all drawers which is great. The only cupboard is under the sink. We also love our pull out hand towel/ tea towel rack with a space to store chopping boards below, and we love our pull out spice and oil rack next to the stove. I also love our coffee/tea station with open shelving above for pretty mugs and vintage tins of tea bags, a kettle tucked away on the bench out of the actual kitchen, and a cupboard below for jars of coffee and sugar and long life milk etc.

I put a slim cupboard with adjustable shelves next to my fridge, the depth of the fridge for appliances .. everything has a home.

Double sink without draining board side - use the second sink for drying, so you don't always have a rack of drying dishes on the bench/sink drainer to ruin the look of your beautiful new kitchen!
Paper towel holder in the drawer.
Spot for tea towel/s, especially if you're going for finger pulls - again, otherwise tea towel lying around without a tidy 'spot' to go.
Appliance cupboard with powerpoints.
Bins bins bins - again, don't let them be an afterthought and end up with visible and /or impractical bins.
Under cupboard lighting, with its switch on your main light switch (simplest way is to get plug-in lighting, and get your sparky to link that powerpoint so it is turned on and off by a switch on your main kitchen light switch panel).
Powerpoints in all the right places, but not too visible! If you're having a broom cupboard, put one in there for charging eg your stick vac.

- A stainless steel knife wall Holder.
- tea and coffee station like floating shelf so it’s off the bench.
- draws instead of cupboards (Can fit more stuff in and have full back access)
- microwave cupboard (clears bench space)
- corner access cupboards. (So u can access it other wise waste of space)
- induction cook top, heat regulation is excellent.
- bin pull out draw
- dishwasher draws. Easy access
- pull down tap can clean everything.

Drawers! So easy to get to everything, incl a drawer in drawer beside the stove for spices.
The other things I love that were a splurge includes the fully integrated dishwasher and thr solid brass handles. Our island is only 2.5m across and the dishwasher sits within that, it makes a huge difference to how seamless and spacious the kitchen looks having the dishwasher fully integrated. And the brass handles have a nice chunky feel to them, easy to grab and help create the look of the space.
We also went with a stone splashback to make the space feel larger, and it works.
An essential for me was having bulkheads. They make the kitchen look more finished and easier to keep clean.

Drawers, drawers and more drawers. Use drawers wherever possible, so much easier to access than cupboards.
