I was thinking of building a greenhouse/ chicken coop

So, I was thinking of building a greenhouse/ chicken coop. Curious if anyone has done this, or reasons not to? Thanks!

Greenhouses get hot and humid very easily. So just put that into consideration when it comes to the chickens. I have a small 6’ X 6’ Home Depot greenhouse, and it gets pretty hot in there. I think the highest I’ve seen it get up to was about 130 degrees. And this has been happening during these colder months too.

Chickens will eat plants.

I actually have that exact thing! I have double horseshoe benches and my birds live under the benches. I have steel racks that go over the benches when I have starts in there so that the birds cannot get to them. In the winter I don't even have to heat the greenhouse for the birds as the clear roof allows for sun to heat it. I have solar string lights in there which gives about 2.5 more hours of light in the winter time after dark allowing my birds to give eggs year round.

Not advisable, they can be attached but not the same room, I have to fence everything I own that grows or the chickens destroy it. To hot not enough air,

Chickens stink and they create a lot of dust. We clean our coop thoroughly twice a year still stinky. I would separate the two buildings. You cannot use chicken manure until year three, it’s too strong.
