I know everyone will have varying opinions, but looking for a bit of feedback on my (rough) itinerary. Single 30 year old Australian, first trip to Europe and have about 7-8 weeks up my sleeve on my way to relocating to the UK. Leaving in mid-October.
Priorities are exploring neighbourhoods on foot, meeting locals and hitting markets, small diners and immersing myself in the community (as much as possible in a short timeframe).
Also not necessarily in this order … open to feedback!

Take 2 nights out of Verona, 2 out of Milan, 2 out of Florence.
Add 4 to Rome and 2 to Naples.
Have fun.

Yeah... The itinerary looks quite intense. Not sure if you've done this kind of trip before, but for me it got quite intense and I kind of got burned out. So, I'd choose two or 3 places where I'd spend a bit more time to allow for some cool down on the trip. I agree with the suggestions Miguel gave. Although I'd probably do Venice a day trip as well and add the days somewhere else on the trip.
