I would love recommendations for Savannah, Georgia
Re: I would love recommendations for Savannah, Georgia
If you have never been, I would highly recommend doing their trolley tour. It takes you all around the city, great historical info and you can jump on an off as many times as you want during the day to see stuff. We were there a few weeks ago and did that.

Savanah has a parking problem. It is expensive and difficult to find a spot.
I like the craft market on River Street.
If you can make it to Tybee I like The Crab Shack.
You can do a self guided (driving) tour on Bonaventure Cemetery.
Wormsloe is beautiful.

Love Savannah. I live about 1.5 hrs North in Charleston and my unpopular opinion is that Savannah is the more beautiful city. If you’re okay with a lot of walking, I’d skip the trolley tour. The loveliest thing about Savannah is how well landscaped and walkable to historic center is. You really get the feel for that is you walk through it, going through the many park squares, rather than around them in a vehicle. The Collins Quarter and The Vault are my fav food spots. If you’re into craft beer, Two Tides is excellent. Also, I can’t recommend “the book” (Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil) enough.

Do a ghost tour, the trolley tour, Bonaventure, and Tybee island. Savannah is a fun city! Enjoy!

Leopolds ice cream is the best!! They have a lemon flavor that is so good. I've been tempted to have it shipped to WI
. I liked starting with the trolley tour to get our bearings and then from there it was fun to just wander the city as there is something kind of magical about it.

If you like Pubs try Churchills. Great bar and food

We enjoy the shops on the cobblestone street on the river. If you are into history, then visit the old cemetery. Headstones go way back.
