You're crazy to pay them that much as they ask... write your own NLP it is not that complicated, there are enough models out there that can be downloaded and trained for free. I did it and it works perfect.

SurferSEO is very nice, but not worth the amounts of money they ask.

Just use Google search console. It’s free.

If you need to check only on page SEO then you can use Rankmath, Yoast and more. But if you need to see overall SEO score like is it better than your competitors or not? Then you can use Surfer SEO, Fraise, Market muse, and others.

But I can recommended one tool called "Content Pace" it’s a great tool for research, edit and outrank your competitors content.

Surfer SEO always + your own comp research / auto suggest keywords / keyword research + your own style ideally better than your comp.

I typically do this in the creation process but if you have content done before those evaluations, I use on-page.ai. I can add the keyword/long tail, then use the editor to throw in the content to see what we might be missing on an entity level.
