How do you choose pendant lights over an island?

Has anyone put rattan or cane or similar pendant lights over their island bench. If so would appreciate photos and where you bought them from.

My new kitchen is going in on Monday. But here are the rattan pendants which will be over the beach. I can't remember where I got them from. I think it was temple and Webster

They do gather dust, and gather moisture near cooking.
