Do I have to have white curtains?

With pale grey walls (Taubmans Windy Beach), mountain spotted gum floors, natural coloured textured rug, pale blue fabric lounge and white furniture, I'm wanting to put textured sheers on the living room windows.

I want to put natural coloured curtains, but feel they might clash with the grey walls. Thoughts? Do I have to have white curtains?

When the sun light hits the White sheer curtains the room will be brighter as it throws the light around the room.

We used the colour Bali- it’s a light grey

We have windy beach half strength on the walls
