Utilita – Is this normal for the 'cost of living crisis'?
Advice please, I'm with Utilita for gas and electricity. I 'pay as you go' and am on average paying £7 per day for electricity and £7 for gas (this is only 2 hours of heating a day).
They said I'm on the lowest tariff, should I move to paying monthly?

It's around £400 a month?

I'm paying £135 for gas electric boardband home phone and mobile in school 3bed house. 400 would cause serious problems for me.
I’m with octopus and that sounds extortionate pay as you go always works out more expensive. I’d change to non pre pay meters. It’s expensive but not 400 a month expensive yet anyway.
My mum pays the same and i phoned up the company to see if she was on the lower rate to be told there is no low rate at the moment just 1 rate for everyone!
That’s definitely not right! I on British Gas pay as you go and I pay around £130 for electric and £140 for gas and I have two that work from home!
I'm in a 3 bed house and my gas is £140 and electric is £60 a month. We use a lot of electrical devices, I use my cooker and washing machine daily. Heating is in 4hours and water heating an hour daily.
I pay £144 a month gas and electric combined. Tbh I haven't really used heating all winter though I bought a £17 fan heater in tesco put that on in the room we're in if needed n then then it off again x
I am on pre payment meter using about £125 a month on both with SSE… that’s not right! In peak of winter mine was £160 a month. 3 bed house never turn hot water off
