– right now I am doing injections and it’s just horrible I hate everything about it and being diabetic as a whole. My question is for anyone with experience with insulin pumps on loop. if I forget to take bolus and my blood sugar goes wild will the insulin pump on loop be able to bring it back down or will I have to do correction how does that work?
Thank you so much for info..
I am looking to get insulin pump
I think this very much depends on what you ate, your insulin needs, and your looping program. Any of the agency approved loop programs are very conservative so it'll take it a very long time to correct you for a meal with any real number of carbs you miss bolusing for.
The DIY looping programs can be set to be more aggressive so they'll do better with this. But no matter what system you're on you tend to get better results when you give the system the info it needs.
