I have a dog that's been taking Cerenia, and on Metronidazole since late Saturday night

.. Have not seen her poop at least for today everything else is fine. Should I wait another day and take her in?

still giving her blander food mix in dog food. And pumpkin.

Not eating as much as usual but I think it's she got chicken and that's all she wants now. Drinking and peeing normally. Not 100% better but compared to day before a much improvement.

Sometimes meds will stop bowel functions when they aren’t eating their normal meals. It took my guy a few days to poop and it was still small. I wouldn’t be too concerned but I’m just used to it because my dog has a very sensitive stomach and a simple tummy ache can turn to colitis fairly quickly if I don’t start bland diet and meds right away. Biggest thing for right now is staying hydrated and making sure they aren’t lethargic.

If your pet isn’t eating that much, it’s likely she may not poop as much too. I wouldn’t panic. If she doesn’t go tomorrow I’d give them a call. What was the original reasoning she was put on the meds?

Those are the same drugs they put my dog on when she wasn’t eating and I took her to the ER. She wasn’t using the bathroom as much because she hadn’t been eating as often or as much. What was the reason for the metronidazole? Maybe that’s what’s messing up the regularity since it’s an antibiotic.
