Hi folks. First photo is my shed. Second photo is what I would like to build. I have no idea what I’m doing. I have a contractor ready to start May 22cd. If there’s anything I can suggest to him it would be most helpful. I will be using polycarbonate panels not glass.

I would like it built on the side with the ladder. I’m in the country and we get a lot of wind.

I’d keep the shed and build out on either side the same size or a bit larger.

You have a contractor ready to start and now you’re asking for ideas, you should have done that before he bid the job. Didn’t he draw up a plan for you or are you just giving him money and you’ll see what you get. The side with the ladder is a gable end so unless you contractor is talking the entire roof off it will not look like the 2nd photo.

Is the greenhouse gonna be facing south? That’s ideal. East or west will be ok as well but you don’t want it on the north side if at all possible.

I would also consider two doors if possible, like one on either side. You’ll fill that greenhouse up sometimes to the point it might be easier to get to the other side through a separate door.
